Mission
Statement:
The
mission of Workforce, Inc. is to strengthen central Indiana
communities by helping local employers build a better workforce

RECYCLE FORCE is a start-up for-profit
business - a subsidiary of WORKFORCE
INC. (see above). The operation offers
employment for ex offenders in the early
months leaving a correctional facility.
The workers gain skills in "de-manufacturing"
electronic waste - CPUs, printers, UPS
power supplies, etc. The revenue helps
pay for wages and support services for
these workers to enter society and be
productive.

Indiana Coalition on Housing and
Homeless Issues, Inc. |
 |

Our partnership with ICHHI is long and deep, starting with a
series of reports on the characteristics and prospects for low
income families in a project originally known as "Ladders for Success"
that was supported by the Joyce Foundation. This work has
continued now in collaboration with work underway in ICHHI's
Indiana Institute for Working Families. Earlier
reports of the Ladders project are available on the ICHHI
website
here. Open the list of
Publications, then Census and Poverty Reports (Ladders).
ICHHI Mission
ICHHI
assists agencies, organizations, and individuals seeking to end
poverty and homelessness and ensure the availability of
affordable housing and transitional supportive services for
low-income and homeless individuals and families. ICHHI
plays a vital role in educating the public, media, policymakers,
and opinion leaders about the needs of low-income families and
the homeless in Indiana. ICHHI also conducts innovative
research to better understand the issues impacting low-income
and homeless individuals and develops solutions and
recommendations to improve public policies and make services
more accessible. |
